Lavender Days

You might catch me humming along to Taylor Swift’s Midnights opener, “I just wanna stay in that lavender haze….” these days, and for good reason. There’s a plethora of locally made lavender and lavender-infused treats to fall in love with these days.
In fact, we celebrate lavender and its beautiful, soothing and delectable qualities each year in the Texas Hill Country through a number of fun, family-friendly events. One of my most-loved is coming up on April 25th & 26th — the Becker Lavender Festival, celebrating 27 years. Where else can you experience Texas wine and Texas lavender together? They even pair epicurean lavender bites with their wine.
As the festival approaches, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite destinations, shops, and treats to help you navigate the multitude of lavender options out there! You won’t leave the honeymoon phase when it comes to enjoying these bites, beverages and goods.

Candles, Linen Spray & Lip Balm
BECKER VINEYARDS
Fredericksburg
Becker Vineyards isn’t just known for their stellar Texas wine. Did you know they have a Lavender Shop and also host an annual lavender festival? They grow lavender next to the grapes on their beautiful Hill Country property and make a wide variety of lavender-infused products, from loose leaf tea to candles, salve, linen spray and lip balm — one of my personal go-to’s! Next time you’re heading to Texas wine country, make sure to add Becker’s Lavender Shop to your itinerary. Plus, you can sip Texas wine while you shop! I recommend Becker's Viognier and Culinaria, among their other great wines.
Visit the Estate winery and tasting room at 464 Becker Farms Rd. in Stonewall or order online at beckervineyards.com.
Want to join the lavender celebration? Don't miss two fun-filled days at the 27th Annual Becker Lavender Festival on April 25 & 26, 2026. There will be live music, hands-on lavender experiences, an epicurean lavender bites and wine pairing, and an artisan vendor market!
Lavender Salve, Lotion, & Tea
JUNE BLOOM
Johnson City
Tucked within the Old Lumber Yard in Johnson City is June Bloom Lavender, lending its amazing aroma to the entire shopping area (You can smell the lavender as soon as you get within a block or two of the shop!).
Founded by lavender farmer, author, and entrepreneur Melissa June, June Bloom is a boutique lavender business that creates small-batch products with the aim of nurturing self-care and well-being. The shop helps us see lavender as part of a caring lifestyle, offering products such as sensitive-skin friendly lotions and salves (these sell out fast, so grab them if they are in stock!), tea that's perfect for a nighttime ritual, lavender sachets, and books that promote healing and provide inspiration.
My daughters love their snuggly soft lavender bunnies (think a small stuffie with fresh lavender packed inside for a wonderful aroma). They are a cute and calming presence in our home!
One time I also found a bar of Criolla Chocolate Lavender from 123 Farm, made in Italy with ancient cocoa beans, in the shop. I've been on the hunt for another bar of this incredible chocolate ever since!
Learn more about the story of June Bloom Lavender and visit them at 209 E. Main Street Suite D in JC.
Lavender Latte
LUCKY LAB COFFEE
Austin & Dripping Springs
Lucky Lab’s house-made lavender syrup adds just the right amount of herbal serenity to their delicious brews. Whether you opt for a hot or iced latte, light and airy lavender is a flavor-add sure to satisfy during the hotter months of the year. Over the past few years, the beloved West Campus coffee spot has expanded across the UT Austin campus (you can find shops in several academic buildings providing much-needed quality coffees, teas, pastries and grab-and-go salads) and it recently opened a location on Ranch Road 12 in Dripping Springs. Lucky Lab sources their coffee from local roaster Third Coast Coffee, makes a charitable commitment to organizations that support dogs and strives to offer “the friendliest service in town.” Their mantra? “We firmly believe that good people, happy dogs and a great cup of coffee make the world a better place.”
Heading to Lucky Lab in the near future? Check out their Spring Menu special, the Lavender Thyme Latte. It adds an extra layer of herbal delight! I recommend it with Oat milk.
Stop by the flagship location at 2421 San Antonio Street or the new Dripping Springs location at 31560 Ranch Road 12, Ste. 101. Planning an event? Visit luckylabcoffee.com to see the catering menu.
Honey Lavender Caramel
WILDFLOWER CARAMEL CO.
Wildflower Caramel Co. is a family-owned and run company in San Antonio dedicated to making small-batch, high-quality confections that infuse joy at any occasion. Their specialty soft and chewy caramels are made with organic and fair-trade ingredients, locally sourced when possible. The Honey Lavender variety includes Geyer Farms honey from Moore, Texas. The lavender takes the lead in the flavor profile, seemingly becoming richer with each chew. It’s a one-of-a-kind find that makes a great gift (you can also treat yourself!) or party favor.
Find them online at wildflowersa.com or in store at select Whole Foods locations.
Lady Bird Lavender Crisp Seasonal Ice Cream
LICK HONEST ICE CREAMS
Austin
Need to refresh after a summer day at Lady Bird Lake? Plan an ice cream break to relax and refresh, and keep the theme going when you order “Lady Bird Lavender Crisp” at Lick Honest Ice Creams. An ode to Lady Bird Johnson’s legacy for preserving and propagating Texas wildflowers, this floral flavor is a mix of lavender and cinnamon brown sugar crisp.
Scoop up the deliciousness at 1100 S. Lamar Boulevard, next to Alamo Drafthouse.
Love lavender ice cream as much as I do? Check out the Lavender Caramel flavor at Gati (it’s vegan!) and Jeni’s “Lavender Wildberry.”
