Texas Wine for the Holidays

This holiday season, as we gather 'round our tables and countertops with friends and family, let Texas wine be your "secret ingredient" for a great celebration!
Not only will you be supporting your neighbors — Texas-based winemakers, grape growers, and entrepreneurs — you'll have a great ice-breaker story to tell about the time you visited a nearby winery. You will also have a very delicious wine to sip on, which pairs well with conversation as wine has a way of loosening us up a bit! Plus, if you are planning a farm-to-table meal, including a Texas wine will help you extend that ethos to what you drink.
If you need more reasons to sip, savor, and give the gift of Texas wine this season, see my Edible Austin story from this time last year about the power of wine in bringing us together and helping us slow down, connect, and enjoy each other's company.
Gift-Giving Made Simple
Want to share Texas wine with friends and family, but unsure where to start? Some of our local wine groups have you covered! Check out these holiday packages that include a variety of well-loved wines at a discounted price to help you spread cheer and support local!

Texas Fine Wine Holiday Pack
For the past decade, Texas Fine Wine has been bringing together some of the highest quality Texas wines from four longstanding and beloved Hill Country wineries. To celebrate the holiday season, they offer a special "Holiday Pack" with a bottle of wine from each of four member wineries. This year's bundle includes:
Pedernales Cellars 2022 Kyla Sparkling Semillon
Spicewood Vineyards 2021 Black Label Tempranillo
Duchman Family Winery 2018 Aglianico
Bending Branch Winery 2021 Bourbon Barrel Aged Tannat, Newsom Vineyards
You can taste these wines, paired with holiday-inspired bites from High’s Café, at the Texas Fine Wine Holiday Soirée on Saturday, November 15, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Bending Branch Winery. Attendees are invited to help spread holiday cheer by bringing new art supplies to support the Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas, an organization that has been responsive to families in the healing process after the flooding in the Hill Country.

Health Family Wines Bundle
Heath Family Wines, comprised of Grape Creek Vineyards, K Estate (formerly Kuhlman Cellars), Invention Vineyards, Jenblossom Cellars, and Heath Sparkling Wines, is offering three different holiday bundles at a 10% - 20% discount this year. If you are a bubbles fan or hosting a New Year's Eve party, don't miss this deal! You choose from a 3-pack that includes a bottle of Grape Creek Vineyards' 2022 Bellissimo (typically a members-only wine and one of my personal favorites!), Heath Sparkling's 2022 Euphoria bubbles, and Invention Vineyards' 2022 P2, or a 6-pack of bottles that offers more breadth and includes two bottles from K Estate. Members can build-their-own variety package!
